Our school organises an Active School Week as part of our annual school calendar and this is something we all look forward to! During Active School week we travel to school as actively as possible, for some this means walking the whole way to school and for others this means walking from the top car park. During this week our Sports Day also takes place. Our Active School week took place from 23rd – 27th May 2022.

Thanks to Finny O’Regan from Munster Rugby for showing us some new rugby skills, the children loved it! We practiced different drills and learned about some of the rules involved when playing rugby!
We were very lucky to have Craig Harrington – the Cork Athletics Development Officer come to our school and play some athletics related games with us focusing on coordination, jumping, jogging, sprinting and throwing. We had so much learning new skills and some games we can play in P.E
